An annoyance for years has been the dichotomy between UI sound effects and video volume. We turn up the TV's volume to the max to be able to hear dialog clearly, but once out of the video the sound effect to give you audio feedback for moving around the UI is annoyingly loud. So you turn the volume down, and then turn the volume back up when in a video again. Then the cycle repeats.
I am using a Nvidia Shield with a soundbar.
Describe the solution you'd like
A way to control the UI sound effects volume independently of the video/TV volume.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Way to disable the UI sound effects. I think the sound effects have usefulness, but it is more the volume.
Permanently cut the volume of the UI sound effects in half. This would work for me, but given the complexity of different Android platforms, Android versions, and speakers/soundbars this probably wouldn't work for everyone.
