Check for existing issues

  • Completed

Describe the bug / provide steps to reproduce it

  1. Install Zed on a Mac running Cisco Secure Client
  2. Try to install an extension
  3. It didn't work!
    a. It silently fails; wouldn't be bad to have an error message of some kind here. That would have made this problem much easier to diagnose.
  4. Dig around the issues for awhile, to find these comments
  5. Verify that, yes indeed, trying to manually download a fully resolved extension in a browser redirects you to a "hey man, we're not serving this to you" page.

Please consider hosting the extensions somewhere that is not on Cisco's blacklist; it's a massive pain to install extensions on this thing, and that makes Zed a lot worse.

Environment

Not allowed to provide it from the Corporate machine, but it's a Mac running Cisco Secure Client.
