Capability Self Service

With the Self Service capability Cloud Yourself allows enterprise employees to create, modify and delete cloud resources in a managed environment which ensures that guardrails of the company are always met.

Vision

Enable every employee at the enterpise to create needed IT resources as easy as possible on demand by using latest cloud technologies. IT resources created using the Cloud Yourself - Self Service Portal are automatically compliant to all internal security and compliance requirements and thus are production ready out of the box. For highly individual use cases, it is always possible to use the native tools of the corresponding cloud providers to set up highly customized environments.

Business Outcome

Access and interaction of employees with the cloud is simplified as much as possible. Employees can create even security critical cloud resources withing seconds and at the same time compliance and security rules are applied at a qualitative higher level. This saves work time, keeps focus on the workloads and improve enterprise security at the same time. Finally the entire cloud adoption of an enterpise is faster and higher.

MVP Description (currently in development)

With the MVP of this system, a user can create new Cloud Accounts via a self service portal. Within that Cloud Account a user can create new Azure Subscriptions. The Azure Subscription can be used to create new Azure Resources using the Azure Portal, CLI or PowerShell or the user can deploy new Managed Resources like Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts or Databases from cloud native templates. The system shall support multi tenantcy with the goal to support completely separated environments.
