@editorialbot invite @rkurchin as editor Hi @rkurchin, could you edit this submission? |
Invitation to edit this submission sent! |
@editorialbot add me as editor |
Assigned! @rkurchin is now the editor |
@rkurchin thanks for editing this submission! FYI this submission will be the second JOSS paper about pvlib. The first was published in 2018 (#884). This paper describes the substantial project growth over those ~5 years. Looks like I need to tweak the submission file locations so that the build bot locates the correct set of files (right now it is using the files from the original 2018 paper). One moment... |

👋 @brandons209, @EwaGomez, @shirubana, would you be willing to review this submission for JOSS? We carry out our checklist-driven reviews here in GitHub issues and follow these guidelines: https://joss.readthedocs.io/en/latest/review_criteria.html |
@rkurchin Yes, I would be happy to review this submission as I use the package on a weekly basis. |
@EwaGomez, great! Just to check though, you don't have any conflict of interest with the authors? |
@rkurchin No, there is no conflict of interest. The library is just closely related to my research topic, so I use it a lot. As you know, the author was recently a reviewer of my JOSS publication. |
@editorialbot add @EwaGomez as reviewer |
@EwaGomez added to the reviewers list! |
Hi @rkurchin not sure if I qualify or if its a COI to review this as I teach the tutorials for pvlib with the authors. I have a PR open that's been sort of abandoned by me but often tagged on the discussions and chime on google-group threads as well. |
Yeah that's probably a COI, thanks for letting me know. |

Hi @rkurchin , many thanks for the invite. Unfortunately, I cannot assume the review of this at the moment. If you need a suggestion for a possible reviewer, let me know and I'll point to to someone (also JOSS reviewer in the past). |
@dalonsoa, very open to suggestions, thanks! |
Then I'd suggest @phoebe-p |
