Research test_assign_groups_guess

As part of #3776, in this issue, we will investigate the test_assign_groups_guess test in particular. We must verify that the test is stable and passes correctly.

The test has passed all the executions.

Gathered information on what the test does in order to have documentation.

The test appears to be fine and stable. However, each execution takes 21 minutes, we need to check if we can reduce this time.

The test is stable, but has necessary improvements that will be worked on in #3863, so we will close this issue.
