As a developer wanting to run Home Assistant scripts from within Google Assistant, I want to make my HA install to be externally accessible with a hostname and SSL certificate because this is required for this process to work.

Just do this with our cloud instance? Ask.

  • pros: then everyone could use it
  • cons: more security risk (or less perhaps?)

Completion requirements

  • Contact my router company and get access credentials for port forwarding
  • HA install is externally accessible with a hostname and SSL certificate
  • Certificate is securely stored

Precursor to #44

Might scrap or reorder if this doesn't seem like an efficient use of time.
Update: working on later because this seems pretty stinking tricky. Will probably have to do it sooner or later though.

Scrapping because a tenant before me set up the router and I have no access to the login info.
